I am Vera Bondare, a painter from Riga, Latvia, born in 1987. With 19 years of experience, I graduated from the Latvian Academy of Arts in 2016 with a Master’s degree in Painting.
Classical art holds a special place in my heart. I cherish beauty, the harmony of color and composition, and draw inspiration from the old masters, aiming to pass on this inherited knowledge through my work. I am deeply inspired by French artists from the late 19th century, particularly the Impressionists and Expressionists, as well as Russian painters of the same period, especially the Peredvizhniki (Wanderers).
In my paintings, you can sense the influence of Impressionism and Expressionism through vivid, rich colors and a lively depiction of light and atmosphere in landscapes. My work is characterized by classical drawing, a clear understanding of form, and its representation. When painting portraits, I especially enjoy capturing the subtle details of the face and figure.
It’s difficult for me to choose a favorite genre, as I approach landscapes, portraits, and still lifes with equal passion. I love alternating genres and themes based on my inner state and inspiration.

I am a profound admirer of classical art, which to me represents the pinnacle of beauty and harmony. It is a source of endless inspiration that energizes and strengthens me. Classical art has served humanity for centuries, embodying high human and spiritual values and serving as a model for future generations.
I am inspired by the idea of being a conduit for the immense wealth created and passed down by the Great Masters. I am eager to learn and develop my skills to preserve and maintain the secrets of craftsmanship that have been honed over centuries.
For me, classical art has a profound and beneficial impact on thinking, emotional intelligence, and personality. At first glance, it reveals a taste for beauty and harmony, but gradually, it unveils a wide range of emotions and develops observation skills, allowing one to notice details and discover new meanings. It nurtures thinking, enabling one to piece together different elements into a cohesive narrative. Of course, it fosters curiosity and a desire to learn more.
My primary source of inspiration is the natural world. I am constantly amazed by its colors, forms, textures, and the play of light. My inner child is always eager to bring everything I see to the studio and paint, echoing nature. Each time I create something new, I immerse myself in the details of form, structure, and combinations, gradually unveiling the mysteries of the universe. I strive to echo the divine design, whether painting with oil or drawing with a pencil. The greatest pleasure for me is to convey the feeling of life in the subject, whether it’s the movement of a flower’s petals as it opens, the sway of a tree branch in the wind, or how leaves create a particular shape under their weight.
Especially delicate is the work on portraits. Here, I must see not just a face but the personality, character, and unique qualities of the individual. I aim to portray these so that they are visible to every viewer, evoking and touching everyone. After all, in every person lies something that speaks to us, touches us, and is dear to us.
In creating each piece, I build a bridge from my heart, consciousness, and soul to God, and through my work, to your heart, demonstrating the mysteries of the universe that have been revealed to me.

My works demonstrate the ability to find endless beauty in the simplest things. I strive to return to the origins, to those timeless canons of beauty that have remained unchanged for centuries: nature, the human body in all its manifestations, and the beauty in ordinary moments of life.
My art consists of vibrant and colorful canvases that will not only adorn any interior but also serve as an endless source of inspiration and a window into a marvelous world of beauty. They provide a focal point for meditation and a recharge of inner energy.
In our digital age and era of industrial mass production, handcrafted art has gained particular value. Each of my works contains my skill, personal effort, hours of my life, and a piece of my soul. Creating each piece, I live through everything I depict.
My works offer an opportunity to meditate in the moment of observing beauty as it is. I aim for my pieces to captivate the viewer’s attention, encouraging them to examine and discover something new layer by layer. I hope my works help the viewer find joy, inspiration, beauty, harmony, wisdom, and acceptance within themselves and their hearts.

As a talented artist with extensive work experience, I am also hardworking and responsible. I successfully sell my works and have participated in numerous projects as a freelance artist.
If you dream of a high-quality portrait made from a photograph or from life, you can commission a piece from me in any desired technique: oil, watercolor, dry pastel, or pencil. My portraits are always distinguished by their expressive likeness, thoughtful composition, and vibrant, harmonious color scheme.
I also enjoy creating caricatures and cartoons for events, be it an anniversary, wedding, or corporate party. Thanks to my extensive experience and communicative nature, I easily connect with guests, creating a pleasant atmosphere and wonderful souvenirs for them to remember your event.
Moreover, I am available as a speaker or master class host. With my extensive knowledge of art and mastery of various techniques, I am ready to deliver an engaging lecture or an exciting master class.
I am always open to new opportunities and would be delighted to participate in your project or collaboration, ensuring that all participants benefit maximally from the cooperation. If you have any proposals, feel free to reach out!
