I am Vera Bondare, a painter from Riga, Latvia, born in 1987.
By nature, I am curious, passionate, vibrant, and full of life. My friends often highlight my unwavering optimism, clear mind, and ability to see beauty where others might overlook it. These qualities not only shape my art but also fill my life with unique colors.
Classical art has always held a special place in my heart. It is my guiding light, a source of inspiration, and a way to explore both the world and myself. For me, beauty is more than just aesthetics. And classical art is the endless source of harmony of color, forms, and emotions that reveals itself to a mindful observer. I draw my inspiration from the great masters of the past, whose works teach us to see the beautiful, feel more deeply, and create more sincerely.
I believe that beauty has the power to transform the world. But it must be a beauty with a divine origin—created from a pure heart, born of wonder at this amazing and fragile world. This is the kind of beauty that not only pleases the eye but also awakens the soul, reminding us to cherish and preserve everything beautiful around us.
Each of my works carries a piece of this beauty.
My paintings radiate positive energy, uplifting your inner mood and filling your space with warmth and joy.
A vibrant, dynamic color palette breathes life into your home, capturing attention and infusing the room with movement and light.
Each piece is unique, transforming your interior into a one-of-a-kind space that reflects your personality and style.
My art inspires reflection, evokes emotion, and creates a special connection with the world of creativity, enriching your daily life.
Genuine artistry in every stroke, hue, and detail makes my work a lasting source of inspiration that will brighten your home.
I truly believe that art has the power to improve our lives, and I strive to share that belief through every painting I create.
Education and Experience
I have over 20 years of experience in painting, and in 2016, I graduated from the Latvian Academy of Arts with a Master’s degree. At the Academy, we were taught the freedom of thought and self-expression, inspiring us to explore various artistic directions.
Love for Classical Art
Despite the popularity of contemporary art, my greatest love is for classical art. It embodies beauty, harmony, and high values, inspiring humanity for centuries. Great masterpieces not only expand our thinking and emotions but also teach us to notice details, uncovering deeper meanings. I see my mission as being a guide to the richness created by the Great Masters.
Inspiration and Style
In my technique and imagery, I am inspired by the Impressionists and Expressionists of the late 19th century, as well as the Russian Peredvizhniki (Itinerants). My paintings reflect the influence of these movements through vibrant, saturated colors and a dynamic play of light, complemented by classical drawing and clear depiction of form.
Yet, my primary source of inspiration is the world around me: its colors, textures, and shapes. Every piece I create is an attempt to replicate the divine design, to convey movement and the feeling of life—whether it’s a flower petal, a tree branch, or the dance of light.
Philosophy of Creativity
For me, every artwork is a bridge from my heart and soul to God, and through Him, to your hearts. My goal is to showcase the beauty of this world, to inspire, to surprise, and to share the secrets of the universe that have been revealed to me.
My Primary Source of Inspiration
The world around me is my greatest source of inspiration. I am constantly amazed by its colors, shapes, textures, and the play of light. My inner child always seeks to bring everything I see into the studio and paint, emulating nature. Every time I create something new, I delve into the details of form, structure, and combinations, gradually uncovering the mysteries of the universe. I strive to replicate the divine design, whether it’s in oil painting or pencil drawing. My greatest joy comes from capturing the sense of life in a subject—whether it’s the motion of flower petals as they bloom, the swaying of a tree branch in the wind, or the way leaves form a particular shape under their own weight.
Diversity of Genres
With my passion for creativity and a wide range of skills, it’s hard for me to pick a single favorite genre. I equally enjoy alternating between genres and themes, depending on my inner state and inspiration. I work across various genres: landscapes, still lifes, and portraits.
Landscapes allow me to express a vast spectrum of human emotions through nature.
Still lifes are a playground of light, colors, textures, and creative freedom.
Portraits require a special delicacy. I strive not only to depict appearance but also to convey character and uniqueness, creating a connection that touches the viewer. My goal is to evoke an internal dialogue between the viewer and the person depicted, revealing the beauty and complexity of human nature.
The Value of My Work
My art consists of vibrant, colorful paintings that can beautify any interior and serve as a source of inspiration. Each piece acts as a window into a fascinating world of beauty, a space for meditation, and a source of inner energy.
The Role of Handmade Art
In an age of digital technology and mass production, handmade art holds a special value. Each of my works contains skill, hours of effort, and a piece of my soul. Every painting I create is a journey I live through, immersing myself in its storyline and the process of its creation, pouring my feelings and experiences into it.
The Philosophy of Contemplation
My artworks invite viewers to deeply explore, meditate, and enjoy the beauty of the world. They help awaken joy, harmony, inspiration, and acceptance within oneself. I aim for each painting to become a source of discovery, encouraging viewers to uncover layers of meaning and wisdom.
As a talented artist with extensive experience, I am also hardworking and reliable. I successfully sell my works and have participated in numerous projects as a freelance artist.
If you dream of having a high-quality portrait created from a photo or life, you can commission a piece in any desired medium: oil, watercolor, dry pastel, or pencil. My portraits are always characterized by expressive likeness, thoughtful composition, and vibrant, harmonious color palettes.
I also enjoy creating caricatures and humorous sketches for events such as anniversaries, weddings, or corporate gatherings. Thanks to my extensive experience and friendly personality, I easily connect with guests, fostering a warm atmosphere and creating wonderful keepsakes to remember your event.
In addition, I am available as a speaker or workshop host. With my vast knowledge of art and expertise in various techniques, I can deliver an engaging lecture or lead an inspiring workshop.
I am always open to new opportunities and would be delighted to participate in your project or collaboration, ensuring that all participants benefit greatly from the partnership. If you have any proposals, feel free to reach out!
