Oil painting with a view in a casual sleeping quarter in Riga, the monument of USSR architecture of residential model houses. I have the happiness to live in one of these areas. Not everyone equally likes these places. And not all areas are equally good. Each has its own advantages and its own acute problems. But over time, the government of Riga is trying to ennoble these areas. There are many new sports and playgrounds, green parks and a large network of different shops. I like living in my area. I like that there is a lot of greenery, good air, different shops are available. I have many friends living here. In this artwork I wanted to show the beauty and romance that exists in these quarters. Show that it’s cozy and comfortable for living. And despite the unsightly architecture of the prefabricated houses, this also has its own functional aesthetics. The painting displays an ordinary scene from life. But the main thing here is not the city, not houses, not people. The main thing is the beauty nature. And this magnificent flowering bush is a symbol of the value of nature itself, which generously gives us its beauty, fills us with its strength and energy, and brings us a big variety of pleasant emotions.
